Dassault Connects Isolated Healthcare Systems With $2bn Deal

Dassault Systèmes has paid US$2bn to acquire ArisGlobal, an AI-native compliance platform, in a deal that could connect previously isolated stages of pharmaceutical development.

The transaction links post-market safety data with research and clinical trial information for the first time within the French software company’s ecosystem.

ArisGlobal processes more than 12 million patient safety reports slot online each year. According to the company, it serves more than 200 customers, including half of the top 50 global biopharma companies.

Dassault’s 3DEXPERIENCE platform already hosts BIOVIA and Medidata Solutions, two healthcare-oriented software brands that track product development through research and development and clinical trial stages.

The addition of ArisGlobal introduces regulatory compliance and post-market safety operations to this digital thread.

Florence Verzelen, Executive Vice President at Dassault, states life sciences has operated for decades with research and development, clinical and post-market compliance as three disconnected world, with each running on its own data and timeline.

“Closing that loop means shorter discovery-to-approval cycles, safety signals detected and acted on faster and regulatory submissions grounded in the same data spine as the science itself,” Florence says.

The integration could allow earlier detection of emerging safety signals. Reduced data silos and fewer manual handoffs between clinical development and post-market operations could accelerate regulatory decision-making while improving patient safety.
